Electricity can kill! Each year about 1000 accidents at work involving electric shock or burns are reported to the Health and Safety Executive. A high number of these are fatal. Faulty electrical appliances and leads are the main cause of accidental fires in commercial buildings, representing over a quarter of all such fires.

All Employers and Landlords/Letting agents are responsible by law for preventing any harm coming to their employees, customers and tenants when using equipment provided for their use e.g. Computers, Monitors, Printers, Kettles, Heaters, Fans, Radios, Microwaves, Fridges etc.
